Stop compromising between adventure and comfort. The Freedom Camper turns your truck bed or trailer into a four-season basecamp — lightweight enough for two people to load without equipment, tough enough to keep you warm down to 20°F.

Why Choose the Freedom Camper?

  • Versatile by design — mounts to a truck bed, utility trailer, or toy hauler with the right kit. One camper, unlimited configurations.
  • Four-season ready — proprietary insulation rated to 20°F keeps you comfortable when the hunting and camping seasons are at their best. Add a 12V fan or AC unit for summer use.
  • Two-person setup — at 180–270 lbs depending on size, two people can load and unload without heavy equipment or a crane.
  • Built for customization — the roof features two raised composite wood mounting areas for racks, awnings, and solar panels. Start minimal, add what you need.
  • 3-year manufacturing warranty — register your product after purchase and it's covered.
  • Made in the USA — built in Lamar, Missouri.

Mounting Options

The Freedom Camper is designed to work on virtually any platform with the right kit:

  • Truck Mounting Kit — uses four heavy-duty turnbuckles that attach to the outside rails of your truck bed. No drilling required. Attaches and detaches quickly, making it ideal if you move the camper between vehicles or store it off-season. Ships inside your camper.
  • Trailer Mounting Kit — bolts directly to the trailer chassis for a permanent, vibration-free connection. The best choice for dedicated trailer builds where the camper stays put. Ships inside your camper.

The Garage — Built-In Underbed Storage

The 48"×79", 58"×79", and 58"×89" models sit on a raised platform above the wheel wells of a truck bed. This platform creates a completely flat interior floor while leaving the space beneath — the length of the bed, minus the wheel wells — as open storage. Hunters use it for decoys, gear totes, and coolers. Overlanders use it for recovery equipment and tools. Aftermarket drawer systems like Decked work perfectly as the platform base and give you even more organized storage underneath.

The Freedom Camper ships as a capable basecamp ready for your personal setup. The roof is built with two raised composite wood mounting areas — bolt on a roof rack, attach an awning, or mount a solar panel without any modification. Add accessories as you go:

  • 12V Camper Fan — 11" ventilation fan with built-in LED light, dual intake/exhaust modes, and bug screen. Easy DIY installation.
  • 12V Air Conditioner — 10,000 BTU rooftop unit for serious heat. Designed for off-grid 12V systems.
  • Roof racks, awnings, and solar panels via standard mounting hardware on the composite wood roof areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which size Freedom Camper is right for my truck or trailer?

The 48"×79" fits most midsize trucks (Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado, Canyon, Frontier, Ridgeline, Gladiator) and smaller trailers. The 58"×79" suits 6'6"–6'9" full-size truck beds without overhang. The 58"×89" is our most popular model and fits most full-size beds and 5×8 trailers. The 72"×89" is our widest model, best suited for large trailers. Contact us and we'll help you find the right fit for your specific truck or trailer.

Do I need a mounting kit?

Yes — a mounting kit is required if using the Freedom Camper in a truck bed. The Truck Mounting Kit uses heavy-duty turnbuckles for fast attachment and detachment, ideal if you plan to move the camper between vehicles or store it off-season. The Trailer Mounting Kit bolts directly to the trailer chassis and is best for permanent or semi-permanent installations. Both kits ship inside your camper when ordered together.

Do I need to build a raised platform?

The 48"×79", 58"×79", and 58"×89" models require a raised platform to sit above the wheel wells in a truck bed. This creates a flat floor inside the camper and a bonus storage area underneath — what we call "the garage." Aftermarket drawer systems (like Decked) work great as a base. The 72"×89" model is designed primarily for trailers and does not require a raised platform. Call us and we'll walk you through your platform options.

Is it usable year-round?

Yes. The Freedom Camper features proprietary insulation rated to 20°F, making it comfortable through cold-weather hunting seasons and camping trips. For summer use, the optional 12V Camper Fan provides ventilation and air circulation. For serious heat, the 12V Air Conditioner (10,000 BTU) runs on standard off-grid power systems and is available as an add-on.

Can I add accessories and customize it?

Absolutely. The Freedom Camper is designed as a minimalist basecamp ready for you to outfit however you like. The roof features two raised composite wood mounting areas specifically designed for roof racks, awnings, and solar panels. Add a 12V fan, 12V AC unit, roof rack, or awning to build exactly the setup you need. It's your adventure — outfit it your way.
